HOW MANY TIMES have you screamed out loud, "I just need an assistant!" but can't afford one?
I've heard it from almost every ED I've sat across. You say that your dream is an actual person who handles the pile so you can go do the real mission work you were called to do. And every time, the same wall: there's no line item for an EA in the budget.
Search no further, but not a chatbot you have to babysit. A teammate with its own computer that can do ANYTHING you can do on your computer; who signs into your tools, works while you sleep, and comes back only when it needs your blessing. The tool is called Grok Bot. xAI launched it August 11th. I have not used it yet. I'm telling you anyway, because by the time I've fully tested it, half of you would still not have heard about this with your extremely busy schedule.
Here's what it is. Grok Bot gives you not just an EA (Executive Assistant), but a full AI team with their own computer. They sign into the tools you already use, work across your apps and inbox, and keep going 24/7 whether your laptop is open or closed. You message them like you'd text a coworker.
The part that made me more excited than finally getting rain and cooler weather: You can share your screen to show The AI exactly how you do a task once, it watches, and then it runs that workflow on its own from then on. You can also run multiple tasks at a time; a CFO, a Marketing Director, A Grant Manager, with one Bot, your Chief Of Staff managing the others. Not just EA, an assistant with a staff. 🤯
Now the cold water....
It's still early beta. For desktop it's available for Mac and Windows and only Apple has the app for now, so Android users are out. And it is not cheap. The cheapest door is SuperGrok Plus at about $100 a month, and SuperGrok Heavy runs about $300.(Prices subject to change)
I'm definitely not telling you to buy it. I'm telling you to know it exists.

Don't Trust me. Investigate before anyone asks you about it.
Step 1: Go to x.ai/bot and read what it actually claims to do.
Step 2: Search "Grok Bot review" on YouTube and watch one honest review from someone who's used it, not a launch-day hype video.
Step 3: Ask yourself three questions:
-Do I have a repetitive, multi-step job that eats hours every week?
-Would having that done overnight be worth $100-$300 a month?
-For Android user, is Desktop ONLY okay for now?
Step 4: If all three are yes, consider the 7-Day free trial. If any are no, you have your answer and you just saved yourself $$$ and a weekend.

Overnight research on funders and prospects, drafted and waiting by morning
Keeping a donor database current without anyone touching it
Processing invoices and paperwork sitting in an inbox
